Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 7, 2026 · Last updated: June 7, 2026
Bible Media Network (“BMN,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is the corporate site of a portfolio of niche publications owned and operated by Desolate Ranch LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit biblemedianetwork.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.
This policy covers biblemedianetwork.com only. Each publication in our portfolio (for example grillingbible.com, skincarebible.com, landscapingbible.com, birdwatchingbible.com) publishes its own privacy policy covering that site’s specific data practices, advertising, and newsletter programs. Our sister brand Locatrs publishes its policy at locatrs.com/privacy-policy.
1. Information we collect
Automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on each page, approximate location derived from IP, and device identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies. This data is collected for analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
When you contact us: name (if provided), email address, and the content of your message (for example investor-relations or partnership inquiries sent to our published contact addresses).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. This site is a corporate and investor-facing publication and is not directed at children. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, contact us at admin at desolateranch.com and we will delete it.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
We use first-party and a limited set of third-party cookies for (a) site functionality, (b) traffic analytics, and (c) security. The corporate site does not run advertising. Where required by law (notably in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), non-essential cookies are used only with your consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
3. Third-party processors and recipients
We share information with the following categories of third parties, each acting either as a data processor under our instruction or as an independent controller:
- Hosting: WP Engine (US) — hosts the site and stores access logs.
- CDN and security: Cloudflare (US) — delivers cached content, blocks abusive traffic, mitigates DDoS attacks.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, US) — measures site usage in aggregate, where deployed.
- Email: our business email provider processes messages you send to our published contact addresses.
For EEA, UK, and Swiss readers: where these processors are located in the United States, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and supplementary measures to comply with GDPR Chapter V on international transfers, except where the processor self-certifies under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which case we rely on that framework.
4. Platform integrations and API clients
Bible Media Network operates developer applications (API clients) with third-party platforms — for example social-media publishing APIs — used solely to publish our own editorial content to accounts we own and operate. These integrations authenticate via OAuth against our own accounts; access tokens are stored securely and used only for publishing, account verification, and delivery-status callbacks. We do not collect, store, or process personal data of platform end users through these integrations, and we do not sell any such data.
5. How long we keep your information
Server access logs: 30 days. Analytics events: 14 months. Email correspondence: 24 months from the last reply. Cookie identifiers expire per the lifespans set by the issuing service.
6. Your rights
If you live in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR / FADP): you have the right to access your personal data, to rectify inaccurate data, to erase data (“right to be forgotten”), to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email admin at desolateranch.com.
If you live in California (CCPA / CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information collected on this site. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out where applicable. We do not knowingly sell personal information of minors under 16.
If you live in another US state with a comprehensive privacy law (Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others as enacted): you generally have analogous rights to access, deletion, correction, and opt-out. Use the same contact channel.
7. Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest at the hosting layer, and principle-of-least-privilege access for staff. Security researchers can reach us at admin at desolateranch.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we revise this policy. Material changes will be summarized at the top of the page for thirty days following the change.
